We do not mass produce puppies. We have a few select litters per year. This enables us to give each puppy the individual attention and human imprinting that he/she deserves. A tremendous amount of thought and consideration on our part is done before we will place one of our puppies in a new home. We feel placing a puppy is an adoption process. It is our responsibility to find the best match for each puppy.
Puppies may leave for their new home at approximately 8 1/2 weeks old. At that time puppies have had two veterinary exams, they have been dewormed and stool samples are negative for parasites/communicable disease, pups have received their first puppy vaccination as well as the kennel cough vaccine, they are AKC registered, and have the AKC Home Again Microchip. During their veterinary visits puppies are checked from head to tail: heart, lungs, ears, eyes, teeth, abdomen, pelvis, testicles, joints/range of motion, coat, skin, urine and stool samples etc. Our puppies come to you in the peak of health. To us, the responsibility does not stop there. We will always be available to help and advise in any aspect of the puppy's life. When you get a Highlander German Shepherd puppy you are also getting life long support. Your new best friend will come with his/her own portfolio including pedigree, AKC registration, 2 copies of his/her medical record: one for your records and the other for your veterinarian, puppy contract, a ton of puppy info/advice and suggested guidelines related to puppy care, NuVet Labs vitamin sample pack, and of course baby pictures. Before you leave we will scan the microchip to show you how it works and to verify that it is there. Please note this is just a brief summary - Very detailed information will be provided to you when you pick up your puppy. Puppies will be eating Timberwolf. We offer Timberwolf to our local clients and local Police K9 units at our discounted price - we sell it to you for what we pay for it, it is not marked up and we do not charge you for the shipping.
